As of January 1, 2008 I no longer produce hard copies of my appraisal reports as part of my typical work. All final reports are delivered via electronic means. This is a good thing for two main reasons:
First, lower fees. By not having to produce a hard copy I save the costs of paper, ink and postage or delivery. These savings are passed along to the client/intended user in terms of lower fees for my services.
Second, reproducible copies. With electronic copies the client/intended user has the opportunity to print the appraisal report as often as they desire. The electronic copy is in a .pdf format and suitable for printing at any time.
For clients/intended users who insist on hard copies, I charge $150.00 per copy which includes delivery. This cost is in addition to my appraisal fees and is payable prior to delivery of the completed report. |
